LEARNING SUPPORT
Mrs T Cameron
SENCO
The Learning Support Department provides assistance and support to all members of the school community, whether through individual advice and one-to-one help, group or whole class support, advice to teaching and support staff or testing students to facilitate exam access arrangements. Some students arrive with diagnosed difficulties while others may be identified while at Erne Integrated College though a process of screening and careful observation by our teachers. We pride ourselves on having an open-door policy, and mentor many students throughout the school to achieve their potential. We have a holistic and child centred approach with strong partnerships with parents.

The Department is staffed by a SENCo, Assistant SENCo, SEN teacher and a team of classroom assistants. It is based in a well-resourced area within the Tom Noble Building comprising a large classroom, small classroom, a quiet room, reflexology room, and two offices. A sensory room and a small classroom are based in the main school building. This is situated in a quiet area of the school where students feel comfortable.
